Learning Brain Expo Frequently Asked Questions: From Registration to Event!

Q. I am having a hard time registering online. What could be the problem?

A.If you have tried to register, but accidentally pressed the back button and lost your registration, and then you tried to do it again, you may be having a problem completing your registration. We suggest that you completely close your web browser (ie: internet explorer, safari, firefox), and then re-open it to try again. If it still does not work, please e-mail us at info@jlcbrain.com and ask to have the registrant’s name removed from our system so you are able to try again. Please know we are happy to take phone calls to help walk you through the process: (888) 638-7246 x304.

Q. I have already registered myself but now I want to register my friend and my information keeps populating the fields.

A. Make sure that you are entering a different e-mail address for each of you, as our system matches previous entered information by e-mail address. Again, you will need to power down your web browser before trying again.

Q. Are the conference sessions "all science" or "all practical"?

A. There are 3 different Brain-Friendly Approaches to our sessions. When you view the session details, the description will tell you which type it is: 1) Highly Practical: Presented by Teachers and Staff Developers 2) Research/Practical Mix: Presented by Authors and Consultants 3) Research Based: Presented by Neuroscientists

Q. Do I get to take home handouts from the presenters?

A. Yes, as part of your registration fee, you will receive a 225+ page resource manual filled with almost all the speaker’s handouts.

Q. Is the Learning Brain Expo tax deductable?

A. Learning Brain Expo® may be fully tax deductible. Consult your tax advisor for details.

Q. I am registering a group of 5 using the 5th Goes Free offer. Do I also get the $50 off for registering early? Can we also get the $200 savings if we have attended before?

A. No, unfortunately, none of these discounts can be used simultaneously.

Q. Why are the prices on the registration form different than the ones listed online?

A. You save $20 per person when you register online!

Q. I have never attended a Jensen Learning Event. Why should I choose this conference over another?

A. For many reasons, Jensen Learning’s quality is a cut above the others. Since 1998 the Learning Brain Expo has been bringing to the educational community a forum where leading scientists and educators can share the newest discoveries in brain research and its implications in the classroom. LBE is the original and most comprehensive brain and learning conference in the world.

Q: I heard that 2009 is the last year for the Learning Brain Expo, Is this true?

A: You are probably wondering why we would end the Learning Brain EXPO when it has been such a successful conference attended by thousands over the last eleven years. Well, although we love doing the EXPO conferences, our company priorities have changed and we will be focusing on smaller and new customized programs. The EXPOs are a labor of love. They take a ton of time, energy and money to make happen. We’ve enjoyed every one of them, and we hope you have too. But it is time for a change.
