The glaring point in this article, Eric, is the importance of culture! The culture of the school and the culture within the classroom. It is invaluable and underestimated. As a former building principal, the culture of my school was always the most important part of my role as leader. I'm looking forward to the new focus and professional discussions on culture in our schools and classrooms. The paradigm is shifting from a teaching culture to one of learning - student-driven and focused. Unfortunately, with the rate of change occurring in our world, we do not have time to wait 20 years for educators to 'catch on'!
